Providing assistance to the Deputy Probation Officers with client caseloads by checking school attendance, and other activities under staff supervision. Providing administrative assistance to various functions such as Fiscal, Research, and Communication Departments. Provide tutoring assistance to the youth with their schoolwork, visiting the youth, and taking part in various activities.
Tasks:
Providing assistance to the Deputy Probation Officers with client caseloads by checking school attendance, and other activities under staff supervision. Providing administrative assistance to various functions such as Fiscal, Research, and Communication Departments. Provide tutoring assistance to the youth with their schoolwork, visiting the youth, and taking part in various activities.
Training:
Mandatory orientation. Interns will be directly supervised by professional-level staff.
Learning Outcome:
working with adults and working with the youth population. Interns gain experience in working with youth and being part of the Probation team. Students/recent graduates frequently select a career with the Orange County Probation Department as a result of their internship experience.

Interns will be working with people who are on probation but will never be left alone and an officer will always be near by.<\/p>\r\n
