Pharmacy TechnicianAt — Rx Solution Pharmacy

Student will perform all pharmacy technician duty including filling and restocking medications, answering phones, helping patients with finding OTC products.

Tasks:

Student will answer the phone, help patient with refilling their medications or answering any simple questions that within their ability. He will learn to process prescriptions, filling the prescriptions. He will learn how to check in medications as it arrived from the pharmacy vendor and properly stocking them to the right place on the shelf. He will learn to keep the pharmacy clean and sanitized, how to use the POS system to ring patients up for their medications & OTC products.

Training:

Student will learn how to use the Rx30 pharmacy system. He will learn look up patient's information, process the prescriptions, checking inventories, using POS and fill and restock medications. Student will first be shadowing a pharmacy technician and will get on hand experience of the task after watching it 1-2 times.

Learning Outcome:

Student will learn more about medications and their usage, operation of the pharmacy and how to communicate effectively with coworker and patients.
