Field Operations Manager and Hiring Valuation InternAt — Allied Universal Security

Opportunity Summary 

This internship is centered around a nexus of security operations management and client management actualized in the framework and praxis of field management and introductory hiring valuation for security operations. The following competencies and skills will be addressed and performed:

- establishing and retaining client relationships

- recruiting and staffing for extra special coverages

- introduction to payroll management for security operations

- introduction to work force management for security operations with an emphasis on purposeful and respectful listening and clear, professionally edifying, instructive, and persuasive communication for successful security operations.

Tasks:

daily or weekly meeting with clients

daily staffing and scheduling

seminars and orientation

recording activity and maintaining records of activity

writing reflective compositions

Training:

The intern's weekly training, including weekends, will entail:

a. workshops and provision of work samples (e.g., educational and informative content for security professionals) to be conducted/provided by the intern

b. job shadowing of senior field manager, project manager, operations managers (sic), client managers (sic), and fleet manager

c. practicum on WinTeam (scheduling and payroll software) and in the field

d. selected readings of relevant philosophical works adapted to and centered on business and operations management with critical reflective/responsive compositions from the intern.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the academic internship, the student:

1. will be able to auto-didactically lead and guide her/his own learning and development of her/his philosophy of and approach to leadership

2. will have exercised her/his ability to form and apply ideas and measures to solving problems centered on : a. accountability, b. the Aristotelian understanding of the virtue of courage, and c. classical Greek reasoning adapted to critical thinking for problem-solving contemporary business and operations management challenges

3. organizing and planning in a strategic and tactical manner according with the dynamic, fluid nature of the security industry and security operations with an introduction to risk assessment.
