Opportunity Summary 

We’re looking for a creative and trend-savvy Social Media Intern to join our team remotely. If you love fashion, live on Instagram and TikTok, and have a passion for swimwear and beach culture, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and scheduling content across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest

  • Create engaging captions aligned with brand voice

  • Research social media trends, hashtags, and viral content ideas

  • Support influencer outreach and community engagement (replying to DMs and comments)

  • Help brainstorm campaign ideas for new collections and product launches

  • Track basic analytics and report on content performance

Tasks:

The majority of responsibilities involve strategic planning, content development, performance analysis, and campaign execution appropriate for college-level credit.

Strategic Content Planning (Professional-Level)

Develop and manage monthly social media content calendars aligned with brand objectives and seasonal campaigns

Conduct competitive analysis and present findings with strategic recommendations

Identify emerging social media trends and evaluate their relevance to brand positioning

Contribute to campaign strategy meetings and assist in planning product launch rollouts

Content Creation & Brand Execution (Professional-Level)

Conceptualize, script, and produce short-form video content (Reels/TikTok) aligned with marketing goals

Design branded graphics and visual assets using professional design tools

Write persuasive, brand-aligned captions incorporating SEO and hashtag strategies

Participate in creative direction planning for photoshoots and user-generated content initiatives

Analytics & Reporting (Professional-Level)

Monitor platform analytics (engagement rate, reach, conversions, audience growth)

Prepare bi-weekly performance reports summarizing insights and actionable recommendations

Conduct A/B testing on content formats and analyze results

Evaluate campaign ROI and suggest data-driven improvements

Influencer & Partnership Support (Professional-Level)

Research and vet potential influencers aligned with brand demographics

Draft professional outreach communications and partnership briefs

Track influencer campaign deliverables and performance metrics

Assist in negotiating basic collaboration terms under supervision

Community Management & Brand Representation (Professional-Level)

Engage with followers through comments and direct messages in alignment with brand voice guidelines

Identify customer feedback trends and compile summaries for the marketing team

Support reputation management by escalating sensitive inquiries appropriately

Administrative & Support Tasks

Schedule approved posts using social media management platforms

Organize digital assets and maintain shared content libraries

Attend team meetings and document key action points

These duties require critical thinking, strategic analysis, professional communication, creative execution, and data interpretation. Completion of these responsibilities will enable students to demonstrate measurable competency in digital marketing, brand strategy, analytics application, and professional remote collaboration—meeting the standards expected for college-level internship credit.

Training:

During this placement, interns will receive structured, hands-on training designed to build practical skills in social media marketing within the fashion and e-commerce industry. Training will combine guided instruction, collaborative projects, and independent application to ensure meaningful learning outcomes.

1. Brand & Industry Onboarding

Introduction to the brand’s mission, target audience, tone of voice, and visual identity

Overview of the swimwear and fashion e-commerce landscape

Competitor analysis training to understand market positioning

2. Content Strategy & Planning

Training on building monthly content calendars

Guidance on campaign planning for product launches and seasonal drops

Instruction on identifying trends and aligning them with brand goals

3. Content Creation & Editing

Tutorials on Canva, CapCut, and other editing tools

Best practices for short-form video creation (Reels, TikTok)

Copywriting workshops focused on captions, hooks, and calls-to-action

Learning Outcome: Students will gain practical skills in creating engaging, on-brand digital content.

4. Analytics & Performance Tracking

Introduction to platform insights and key performance metrics (engagement rate, reach, conversions)

Training on compiling simple performance reports

Guidance on using analytics to refine content strategy

Learning Outcome: Students will learn to interpret data and apply insights to improve marketing performance.

5. Influencer & Community Management

Overview of influencer outreach processes

Best practices for professional communication and brand partnerships
