Artist Management / Marketing InternAt — Interlude Studios

Opportunity Summary 

The Artist Management / Marketing Internship at Interlude Studios is a fast-paced, hands-on educational work experience in artist management, marketing, and the music industry at large. Interns will work directly with the artist management team and their clients - specifically in the areas of marketing and day-to-day management. Some intern tasks include helping with the creation and execution of artist marketing plans, editing promotional social media content, sending out PR blasts to creative partners, managing artist fan pages, spearheading fan focused marketing activations, and helping the management team with general day to day management activities. Extraordinary candidates will have a passion for music, marketing, and artist management, as well as a basic knowledge of the music business, the ability to handle stress and deadlines well, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in all social media platforms, consumer level creative editing softwares, and Google Suite tools.

Task:

- Assisting in the brainstorming, building, and execution of marketing plans for artists' releases
- Making edits of creative content for the purposes of advertising, marketing, and social media
- Drafting and sending out PR blasts to editorials, blogs, and the DSPs for artists' releases
- Managing artist fan pages and secondary social media accounts
- Helping with the brainstorming and execution of fan focused marketing efforts, such as album listening events, exclusive merch shipments for superfans, and pre-save / playlist / UGC contests
- Communicating with artists and the artists' teams as it pertains to creative, strategy, and logistics
- Nurturing the artists' fan relationships through the management of platforms such as Discord and Twitch
- Assisting the management team with day to day management activities

Training:

Training includes:
- An orientation / onboarding day
- Daily one-on-one mentor meetings
- Virtual job shadowing
- Overview and demonstrations of assigned tasks
- End of day check-ins / debriefs
- Weekly progress report meetings

Learning Outcome:

- Create and execute a marketing plan for an artist's release
- Successfully grow the online presence of an artist via own channel and fan page social media marketing
- Deepen the fan and artist relationship through meaningful and consistent fan focused activations
- Confidently build an artist's online brand via strong and engaging short form video content
- Manage the creative and marketing aspects of an artist's business
