Position Description
Position Title: Digital Production Intern Department: Membership & On-Air Fundraising
Classification: Temporary, Part-Time (20-30 hours), Non-exempt
Reports to: Senior Director, Digital & On-Air Fundraising
Location: Burbank, CA and Costa Mesa, CA (Hybrid)

Summary: The Digital Production Intern is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt position that will support a new, experimental series in the Membership department aimed at reaching new audiences. The series combines video games and learning. The intern will assist in the pre-production, production, and post-production of the series by creating graphics, participating in pre-production meetings, supporting the team recording the series, coordinating craft services, importing and logging video files, and assisting the editor in post-production. The Digital Production Intern will report to the Senior Director, Digital & On-Air Fundraising.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assist the editor in post-production
• Help develop a Style Guide based on the existing episodes of the show
• Create video game save files for use in the production
• Participate in pre-production meetings with the host and producer to make decisions regarding show content, review past episodes, recommend experts to appear as guests, and strategize around marketing
• Support the production team in recording the series in our Burbank, CA, office, assisting with cameras, lights, audio, set design, and production decisions
• Coordinate craft services for the production team, including ordering and accepting delivery
• Assist with social media promotion
• Participate in intern events and trainings in the Costa Mesa and Burbank offices
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop Pro or Adobe Premier Pro
• Possess a deep interest in both education and video games
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders using tact and discretion
• Ability to take initiative and problem solve in areas related to direct responsibilities while working effectively in a team environment
• Ability to successfully perform in an atmosphere of experimental projects, shifting priorities, and deadlines
Requirements:
• At least 18 years of age
• Available for a minimum of 20 hours
• Reliable transportation access for travel to in-person meetings and events
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is also required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work Environment The working conditions are primarily in a general office or home setting. However, the position may require off-site travel as necessary. Depending on the position, job duties, and subject to the discretion of the company, the position may be telecommuting eligible in whole or in part. Training:
New hire orientation, weekly scheduled check-in meetings with manager, Harassment Prevention Training, Fire & Safety Training, All-Staff meeting attendance
