Opportunity Summary 

Management Assistant Intern will Performs a broad range of entry-level professional work in connection with administrative, personnel, budget,
legislative and/or fiscal activities in City Tourism Department;
will receive on-the-job training and experience in preparation for career
advancement in various professional areas.

Tasks:

Introduction to the City Contracting Process.
- Learn about RFPs, RFBs, and Sole Source acquisitions using templates.
- Documentation requirements for compliance.
- RAMP LA site.
- Budget process.
- Financial management Into.
- Understanding the Controller's budget estimates.
- HR related responsibilities and tasks.
- Data Analytics and Reporting.

Training:

Weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings, job shadowing, workshops/skills training, provision of work samples, overview/contextualization of assigned tasks, training literature reviews and testing.
