Opportunity Summary 

Supports the Marketing department in the growth and development of the AHG CA  brands business and new initiative in areas of market & competitive analysis, product development, brand strategy, marketing, and promotion. Manages established marketing, PR, and social media program.  Manages tradeshows and educational seminars.

 Tasks:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Market and competitive analysis
• Assist in monitoring and analyzing competitive landscape, report on trends and developments and make recommendations based on changing market conditions.
• Prepare sales data by brand, style and color and utilize this information for future marketing and research and development efforts.

Sales and marketing related activity
• Coordinate and execute sales and marketing materials for all brand lines.
• Participate in developing of catalogs, packaging, seminars/tradeshow materials, promotional items, videos, presentations, social media posts, eblasts and miscellaneous projects.
• Update websites with new images, add watermark and upload new images to FTP site. Move expired images off accessible area of FTP site.

External events
• Coordinate all functions related to tradeshows and seminars including travel, venue, R&D/Marketing/Sales materials, booth refurbishing/graphics and shipments to events.

Administration
• Prioritizes, tracks, handles, and maintains records of the elements, costs, and time schedules of multiple projects.
• Manage monthly marketing spending, update budget tracker and send within specified time frame.
• Update seminar inventory after each seminar and update sales tracking for seminar attendees and send within specified time frame.

Training:

To reach the desired out come the student's training will include:

-Employee orientation where they learn the basics and rules of the company.
-then the student will meet the heads of each department and learn the nuances of the department and how marketing impacts their areas.
-The student will then work with the marketing manager to learn the specifics of the role. The student will be taught how to become a marketing coordinator during the internship. This will include weekly one-to one sessions as well as impromptu meetings
-The student will also meet with the sales manager as marketing and sales work very closely together. This will ensure they have solid understanding of how the marketing role impacts sales and the company
