Opportunity Summary 

Are you looking for a meaningful internship? As an intern in Crowe’s Audit and Assurance practice you’ll get in-depth exposure to the auditing profession and learn more about the day-to-day responsibilities of an auditor. You’ll receive guidance and work closely with experienced audit professionals, as well as have exposure to issues shaping and affecting the profession today.

During your internship, you’ll sharpen your analytical skills as you audit client financials, transactions and internal control processes. You’ll work independently and collaborate with a diverse group of talented audit professionals to deliver exceptional audit client service delivery. You will use our audit tools and technologies that use advanced analytics, data visualizations and process flow automation to analyze client data and provide exceptional client experience.

Interns will have the opportunity to work as a team member on diverse client engagements to include manufacturing and distribution, not-for-profit, government, healthcare, education, construction, dealerships, food and agriculture, insurance and financial institution clients. You will also have the opportunity to work on benefit plan audits of 401(k), pension, or employee stock ownership plans.

Tasks:

Audit financial statements, transactions, and internal control processes; analyze client data using audit tools and technologies
Collaborate with audit teams on client engagements across various industries; assist with benefit plan audits and deliver client service
Learn and apply auditing concepts on the job; develop analytical skills, take initiative, and stay informed on industry issues

Training:

There will be a 2-day orientation at the start of the internship, followed by Audit specific training into our systems and methodologies. Hands-on experience will follow with interns being exposed to real audit work. There will be career coaches assigned to each intern, as well as project teams to help with guidance on day to day activities.

Learning Outcome:

Perform audit procedures on client financial statements, transactions, and internal controls while using advanced audit tools (analytics, data visualization, automation) to analyze data and support high-quality client service delivery
Collaborate with audit teams and experienced professionals across diverse client engagements and industries, contributing to audits (including benefit plans) while building technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Gain hands-on exposure to the auditing profession by taking initiative, learning on the job, understanding current industry issues, and supporting a culture focused on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement while working a full-time schedule
