Opportunity Summary 

Beginning Bench Jeweler

Tasks:

The intern will demonstrate their learning outcomes by assisting with participating in shop duties/responsibilities, polishing stock items, and conducting basic repairs, including electroplating, soldering chains, shaping/assembling parts, and sizing rings.

Training:

After the initial orientation covering workplace practices and safety requirements, the intern will achieve the proposed learning outcomes through written and verbal instruction as well as hands-on training with guided support. I will administer written tests and conduct weekly one-on-one meetings to review the intern's progress.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the internship, the student will be able to understand industry terms, operate and maintain machinery/tools, polish precious metals on a polishing lathe/lap, and solder precious metals for basic jewelry repairs.
