Marketing & Social Media InternAt — Smalls Smash Club
As a Marketing & Social Media Intern at Smalls Smash Club, you’ll work closely with our team and be guided through the process of building and managing our brand presence online. Since we handle all of our marketing in-house, this role is designed to be a hands-on learning experience where you’ll be taught how to create content, develop social media strategies, and engage with customers. You’ll be involved in brainstorming ideas, creating content, and learning how we approach marketing as a growing, family-owned business. Our goal is to help you build real-world skills in digital marketing while contributing to our brand.
Tasks:
- Learn how to create and schedule content for social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns and promotions
- Practice writing captions and maintaining a consistent brand voice
- Learn how to engage with customers through comments and messages in a professional way
- Track and review engagement to understand what content performs best
- Collaborate on content ideas, including photos and videos
- Contribute creative ideas to help grow brand awareness and reach new audiences
- Assist in evaluating campaign performance and suggesting improvements based on engagement data
- Support ongoing marketing and branding efforts while developing practical skills
Training:
The intern will begin with an onboarding process where we introduce our brand, goals, and overall marketing approach. From there, we will actively guide and teach the intern how to create content, manage social media platforms, and engage with customers.
Training will include hands-on learning, direct instruction, and weekly in-person check-ins with the supervisor to review progress, provide feedback, and answer questions. During these meetings, we will go over what’s working, where improvements can be made, and how to continue developing their skills.
The intern will also be shown examples of successful content and campaigns, and we will walk them through our creative and decision-making process. As they gain experience, we will gradually give them more responsibility while continuing to support their learning and growth.
