As a C2C Group Intern, Hergun’s primary responsibilities center around AI integration across the team and preparing portfolio review decks for our clients. The training is designed to align closely with her school’s finance concentration, ensuring that each aspect of the internship provides practical, real-world experience in financial analysis and client management.

Training begins with a comprehensive orientation that covers mandatory procedures, including compliance protocols and a thorough introduction to our team’s workflow. Early on, she engaged in one-on-one meetings with technical executives, usually once a week. These sessions offer direct instruction, guidance, and opportunities for job shadowing, allowing her to observe and participate in high-level discussions about technology solutions that impact financial strategies. This direct mentorship is invaluable for connecting theoretical finance concepts to their application in a professional setting.

Weekly team meetings are another key part of the training. These meetings focus on feedback and revision for portfolio review decks, and they foster collaborative learning and continual improvement. The supervisors ensures that feedback is constructive and tailored to help interns achieve their learning outcomes, such as understanding portfolio dynamics, client needs, and the integration of AI tools in financial decision-making.

Additionally, she learns from Jenna, a team member who previously led the review deck process. Jenna provides daily, hands-on guidance and shares expertise in both finance and technology integration. This mentorship is especially relevant to her finance concentration, as it helps bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice.

Overall, the supervisor’s training techniques combine regular feedback, one-on-one mentorship, peer learning, and structured evaluation. These practices not only support her educational goals in finance but also equip her with practical skills that will benefit Hergun in her future career.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the internship at Morgan Stanley, the student will be able to:
1 Conduct systematic portfolio analyses by evaluating asset allocation, performance metrics, and
risk exposures to assess the effectiveness of investment strategies.
2 Analyze investment activity and cash flows within corporate cash portfolios, interpreting
transaction data and short-term investment movements to support liquidity management decisions.
3 Synthesize financial and market information to produce clear, data-driven insights and reports
that inform portfolio reviews and support wealth management decision-making processes.
