Competitive Compensation 

  • $20-$28 per hour depending on education and experience

Available Hours 

  • Part-time (10+ hours per week) positions are available. Availability after 12pm is preferred.  

  • Opportunities to grow into full-time (32+ hours) available in select areas. Open availability is preferred. 

 

Work Location(s) 

  • Behavior Technicians may be assigned to locations within a 15–20 mile radius of the listed location, depending on company caseload needs.

We provide quality and individualized services based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children and teens with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, and developmental delays.   

 

Primary Job Responsibilities 

  • Implement behavior management programs 

  • Apply behavioral techniques and strategies with an emphasis on prevention and behavior management 

  • Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan. 

  • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment 

  • Attend and participate in treatment/behavior management team meetings with staff 

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Required: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Ability to adhere to ethical and professional standards 

  • Ability to provide evidence of negative tuberculosis test 

  • Ability to pass FBI and DOJ Live Scan background check 

  • Consistent and reliable transportation 

  • Preferred:  

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field. 

  • Experience working with individuals with learning or development disabilities 

  • Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions to children with special needs in a 1:1 setting in the home and community.  

 

Operating Hours 

  • Monday-Sunday 8:00am-8:00pm (Session times are based on employee and client availability)

Training:

Training will include orientation, initial face-to-face trainings, client overlaps/observation sessions, online compliance trainings, and regular training/support during supervision overlaps.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to implement behavior management programs, monitor and record client progress data, apply behavior techniques and strategies, and maintain confidentiality of records relating to client treatment.

Clients may exhibit aggression on occasion while exhibiting maladaptive behavior. If being place on a client that frequently present aggression, the staff member will go through QBS Safety Care training. Parent/Guardian/Caregiver will also be on the premises to help provide support, and supervisors will attend sessions regularly to provide additional guidance and support.
