Position Description:
The “Research and Outreach Coordinator” internship provides hands-on experience in business research, strategic communication, and organizational operations within a professional business services and consulting environment. The organization supports clients through research, outreach initiatives, operational support, and strategic business consulting across multiple industries.
The intern will work closely with leadership and project coordinators to assist with research projects, outreach efforts, client communication support, and business development initiatives. Responsibilities are designed to provide exposure to real-world business operations, market evaluation, organizational strategy, and professional communication practices. The position emphasizes the development of analytical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, time management, and professional communication skills within a collaborative office environment.
The Research and Outreach Coordinator will assist with researching and analyzing business information, organizing outreach materials, preparing reports and presentations, maintaining communication records, and supporting operational and strategic projects. The internship experience is intended to help the student apply classroom knowledge in a practical setting while gaining professional experience in business analysis and organizational support.
Task:
The intern will demonstrate their learning outcomes by performing the following tasks and assignments throughout the internship experience:
• Conducting market, industry, and business research using online databases, public resources, and company-provided materials
• Collecting, organizing, and summarizing research findings into possible reports, spreadsheets, or presentations
• Assisting with the analysis of customer behavior, and business opportunities
• Supporting outreach initiatives by drafting professional emails and assisting with follow-up correspondence
• Researching prospective clients, organizations, and partnership opportunities through data gathering and analysis
• Participating in meetings and contributing ideas during planning and project discussions
• Preparing presentations, summaries, and informational materials for internal and external use
• Applying analytical and organizational skills to complete assignments and meet deadlines
• Utilizing spreadsheets, business software, communication platforms, and project management tools relevant to organizational operations
• Demonstrating professional verbal and written communication skills in interactions with supervisors, team members, and external contacts
• Observing and participating in professional decision-making and problem-solving processes
• Completing assigned projects independently while incorporating supervisor feedback and guidance
• Demonstrating professionalism, adaptability, initiative, and ethical workplace conduct throughout the internship
