Graphic Design Intern Summer 2026At — The Frida Cinema
Graphic Design Interns will work directly with our Art Director. Interns will create artwork and graphics for our film programming, fundraising campaigns, and organization. Graphic design work includes web banners, film posters, social media assets, and content used on-screen and across our channels to promote our programming and organization.
Tasks:
Intern's chief role is the creation of marketing materials, and general promotion of the theater as relates to graphic design. Our organization has a strong and consistent outreach, ranging from on-screen content to daily social media posts, and it is our mission to keep our content rich, original, eye-catching, and relevant.
Training:
Interns will work directly under our Art Director. Intern will be given access to The Frida's Slack account, where you can communicate directly with our Art Director as well as to your fellow graphic designers in a group chat. Intern will have our Art Director and Marketing Directory as continued resource to get their questions answered, tasks clarified, and will consistently provide feedback on work. Intern will also be given a Formal review after first two weeks of work, as well as after completion of Internship; but again, general feedback will be consistent.
Learning Outcomes:
Intern will receive hands-on experience with the ins and outs of a non-profit arts organization, with a focus on graphic design. This includes creating eye-catching visual content for the purposes of marketing and outreach; working with potential sponsors and/or partners in creating and producing partnered graphics; creative in-house poster and flyer design; and working in a Team-focused environment with like-minded film and arts enthusiasts to create a dynamic, diverse, and memorable experiences for our audience.
