Opportunity Summary 

    • Extract, organize, and manage financial and tax-related data from client records, payroll reports, and accounting systems;
    • Perform bookkeeping by inputting and validating transaction data for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and individual clients;
    • Assist in preparing federal and state tax returns using accounting software and digital financial records;
    • Reconcile data across systems such as QuickBooks, payroll platforms, and tax software to ensure data accuracy and consistency;
    • Utilize Excel tools, including Pivot Tables and formulas, to analyze financial data and support reporting processes;
    • Assist with basic audit procedures, including reviewing supporting documents, reconciling account balances, and preparing audit workpapers;
    • Support payroll tax filings, sales tax filings, and other compliance-related reporting tasks for clients;
    • Maintain organized client financial databases and monitor filing deadlines to support efficient workflow management

Tasks:

• Perform bookkeeping and financial data entry using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
• Analyze and validate accounting, payroll, and tax-related data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems;
• Utilize Excel tools, including Pivot Tables, formulas, and data analysis functions, to support financial reporting and reconciliation procedures;
• Support basic audit procedures in CaseWare Working Papers, including account reconciliations, workpaper preparation, and supporting document review
• Input and organize financial information for individual and business tax returns using tax preparation software;

Training:

• Training on QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop for bookkeeping, transaction management, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting;
• Training on tax preparation software and digital tax workflow for individual and business tax returns;
• Training on CaseWare Working Papers for basic audit procedures, including guidance on basic audit testing procedures such as vouching invoices, tracing transactions, reviewing supporting documents, and reconciling account balances;
• Training on payroll processing, payroll tax filings, payroll reconciliations, and employee payroll data management;

Learning Outcomes:

• Utilize accounting information systems such as QuickBooks, AME Payroll, CaseWare, and tax software Lacerte to manage financial data; Analyze and reconcile accounting, payroll, and tax-related data to ensure accuracy and consistency;
• Use Excel tools, including Pivot Tables and formulas, to support bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, and audit tasks;
• Understand how accounting and audit systems support financial reporting, tax compliance, and business operations in a professional environment.
