Role Overview

As an HR Intern at The Blended Group, you'll get hands-on experience supporting the full employee and talent lifecycle — from recruiting and onboarding to culture and operations. If you're excited about people, process, and building a workplace that actually thrives, this is your role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Recruiting Support — Help source and screen candidates for internship and full-time openings across the agency
  • Onboarding — Assist in preparing onboarding materials and welcoming new team members and interns
  • HR Administration — Maintain accurate records, update internal databases, and manage documentation
  • Culture & Engagement — Support planning of team events, recognition programs, and internal communications
  • Policy & Compliance — Assist in reviewing and organizing HR policies and procedures
  • Interview Coordination — Schedule interviews, liaise with candidates, and manage logistics
  • Intern Program Support — Help run day-to-day operations of our internship program alongside leadership

Training & Onboarding

This is a structured program — not a sink-or-swim situation. Here's what your first weeks look like:

Week 1 — Shadow & Learn

  • Full orientation: company history, mission, clients, and goals
  • Shadow the operations and leadership team through real daily workflows
  • Review all HR policies, tools, and onboarding documentation

Week 2+ — Get Hands-On

  • Begin assisting with active job postings and candidate communications
  • Support onboarding of incoming summer interns
  • High performers take on expanded HR project ownership quickly

Tasks:

Recruiting support involves helping source and screen candidates for internship and full-time roles across the agency. You’ll assist with onboarding by preparing materials and welcoming new team members and interns. The role also includes HR administration such as maintaining records, updating internal databases, and managing documentation, as well as supporting culture and engagement through team events, recognition programs, and internal communications. Additional responsibilities include assisting with policy and compliance documentation, coordinating interviews and candidate logistics, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the internship program alongside leadership.

Training:

Week 1 focuses on shadowing and learning, starting with a full orientation covering company history, mission, clients, and goals. You will shadow the operations and leadership team through daily workflows and review HR policies, tools, and onboarding documentation. From Week 2 onward, you move into hands-on work by assisting with active job postings and candidate communications, as well as supporting the onboarding of incoming summer interns. High performers may quickly take on expanded HR project ownership and greater responsibility within ongoing initiatives.

Learning outcome:

You’ll receive mentorship from experienced leadership and operations staff, and develop a portfolio of real-world HR experience to support a career in people operations.
Execute a sales outreach strategy by building and managing a brand pipeline, including prospecting, pitching, and following up with potential brand partners.

Communicate professionally with both talent (creators/influencers) and brand clients through email, CRM tools, and direct correspondence.

Support the end-to-end lifecycle of a brand deal, from initial outreach and negotiation basics to campaign execution and performance tracking.

Apply CRM and pipeline management tools to organize leads, track deal progress, and maintain accurate records within a fast-paced agency environment.
