Opportunity Summary 

Passionate about visual storytelling and digital media? As a Video Production Intern, you will gain hands\u2011on experience supporting video content creation while learning every stage of the production process in a professional agency setting.In this entry\u2011level role, you will work closely with the video production executive to assist with pre\u2011production planning, on\u2011set filming, and post\u2011production editing. You will support camera operation, lighting, and sound recording, and help bring creative concepts to life for agency clients.This internship also provides experience managing video and reel content across various social platforms, including Instagram, Meta, and X. It is an ideal opportunity for someone eager to build technical skills, collaborate with a creative team, and grow in video production and digital storytelling.

Tasks:

• Assist the Video Production Executive in capturing and editing content on behalf of the agency’s clients
• Responsible for the safe transfer and storage of all footage.
• Ensure equipment is charged and properly stored before and after every shoot.
• Provide assistance as needed in all components of the production, including sound, lighting, camera, editing and postproduction Operate and maintain proper levels and calibration of cameras, recorders and other production equipment.
• Work closely with the creative staff to execute concepts through to completion.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and transcribe production activities.
• Research topics using a variety of sources, including video archives, the internet, library archives and others as needed.

Each intern completes a simple, semester\u2011long capstone project designed to support professional growth and prepare you for future applications and interviews. Built into the internship experience, the project helps you create practical, polished materials you can confidently use beyond the program.
By the end of the internship, you will have an elevator pitch, a short professional bio, headshots, and a curated portfolio, all developed gradually with guidance and feedback.

By the end of the internship, the student will be able to:

Apply foundational video production techniques, including camera operation, lighting, and sound, to capture high\u2011quality visual content
Demonstrate proficiency in the full production workflow, including pre\u2011production planning, on\u2011set execution, and post\u2011production editing
Utilize editing software to produce polished video content suitable for client use across digital and social media platforms
Evaluate and apply creative concepts by collaborating with a team to bring ideas from initial concept through final delivery
Implement best practices for managing and organizing digital media assets, including proper storage, transfer, and archiving of footage
Analyze project requirements and select appropriate production equipment and techniques to achieve desired outcomes
Conduct research to inform video content development, including identifying relevant sources, trends, and visual references
