Opportunity Summary 

We are seeking a motivated Outreach Coordinator Intern (Fundraising & Grants) to support our development team. This role is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit management, donor relations, and grant writing. The intern will gain hands-on experience in fundraising strategy, research, and external communications.

Tasks:

- Research potential sponsors, donors, grants, and community partnerships.
- Assist in creating sponsorship packages and fundraising materials.
- Draft donor outreach emails, letters, and follow-up communications.
- Help track donations, sponsorship commitments, and fundraising metrics.
- Support fundraising campaigns and special events.
- Assist with donor recognition and stewardship activities.
- Prepare reports and presentations related to fundraising efforts.

Training:

- Initial organizational orientation covering AUsome Sauce’s mission, programs, target population, policies, and fundraising goals.
- Overview of nonprofit fundraising principles, donor stewardship, sponsorship development, and community outreach strategies.
- Weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings with the Executive Director or designated supervisor to review progress, answer questions, and provide coaching.
- Job shadowing opportunities during donor meetings, sponsorship outreach efforts, and fundraising events.
- Training on donor communication, professional email etiquette, relationship building, and fundraising databases/tracking systems.
- Review of fundraising materials, sponsorship packets, grant resources, and previous campaign examples.
- Ongoing feedback and performance evaluations to support professional growth and learning outcomes.
