Supervised and engaged children in a safe, play-based learning environment. Assisted with lesson planning, led age-appropriate activities, supported children's social and emotional development, maintained classroom safety and cleanliness, communicated with families and staff, and followed all licensing and health regulations.

Tasks:

Watching and helping children during indoor and outdoor activities.
Helping children with homework and learning activities.
Planning and leading games, crafts, and other fun projects.
Encouraging children to make good choices and follow the rules.
Keeping children safe and following all Catalyst Kids rules and school policies.
Talking respectfully with staff and families.
Helping with attendance, snacks, cleaning up, and other daily classroom jobs.

Training:

New employee orientation and required training.
Training with the Site Director before starting regular duties.
Support and guidance from experienced staff.
Regular check-ins to talk about progress and answer questions.
Training on safety rules, child supervision, emergency procedures, and mandated reporting.

Learning Outcome:

Use what they learned about child development while working with elementary school children.
Work well with children, families, and staff by using good communication and teamwork.
Plan and lead fun activities that help children learn, play, and grow.
