Opportunity Summary 

Metro is investing in the future of the Los Angeles region, starting with our greatest asset - people. Perform duties in assigned department in support of an organizational unit while gaining knowledge of Metro's business operations.

Communicating effectively orally and in writing

Interacting professionally with various levels of Metro employees and outside representatives

Analyzing situations, identifying problems, and recommending solutions

Preparing reports and correspondence

Operating computers and general office equipment

Meet tight time constraints and deadlines

Compile and analyze data

Understand, interpret, and apply policies and procedures

Follow oral and written instructions

Handle highly confidential information

Training:

Convened a team retreat
Attend weekly department team meetings
Required to complete employee mandatory training (i.e., on-line)
Participate in TCAP In-Service Training Sessions
Project Leader Oversight and facilitation of individual project team

Learning Outcome:

Performs administrative and analytical work in support of a department's business
Participates in departmental projects and performs special assignments related to the department's business
Generates correspondence, reports, and presentations
Assists in preparation of graphs, programs, and posters
Coordinates with other Metro departments and programs
Supervises 25 high school interns
Responsible for stand-up facilitation
Attends department’s team meetings
