Mechanical Engineering InternAt — Blacoh Industries

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to support our engineering team in product development, design, testing, and manufacturing activities. Because we manufacture our products locally in Riverside, this role offers a truly hands-on experience — you'll have direct access to our products, our production floor, and the people who build them. This is a unique opportunity to bridge classroom engineering principles with real-world application in a collaborative and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Developing 3D models and prints
• Utilizing FEA to optimize product design to satisfy product criteria
• Experience product development and engineering decisions needed to successfully bring products to production

Training

1:1 training through projects. Training could take place daily or weekly , depending on how new the concepts are to the intern.

Learning Outcomes

• Gain hands-on experience of iterative design improvement and testing process for product development.
• Real-world practice using CAD to create models and drawings that clearly communicate manufacturable designs and include tolerancing to ensure for proper fit and function in final assemblies.
• Get familiar with real-world application of analysis software such as FEA
• Get familiar with the different engineering roles that are at play in a manufacturing environment: product engineering, manufacturing engineering and quality assurance
