Assist in the classroom with classroom management, lesson planning, grading procedures, testing students, working with students in learning groups.

- work alongside a teacher to learn how to grade student work
- be in the classroom to understand how classroom management is achieved
- create lesson plans for upcoming lessons with the teacher

Training:

\n

the intern will be invited to our staff training the week of Aug 24th for an overview of school policy and procedures. The intern will be able to participate in weekly staff meetings on Tuesdays to provide input and ask questions. The intern will shadow a teacher and be given assignments/tasks to allow for better understanding of a teachers role.

- understand how classroom management works
- create lesson plans in conjunction with curriculum
- grade student work and input grades with teacher oversight
