Piano Teacher InternAt — Inside Out Piano LLC

Teach students in-person travel to students' homes. 

The intern will demonstrate their learning outcomes by…
1. Providing weekly lesson plans via Google Docs.
2. Attend once a semester performance student recital(s) off-campus
3. Perform teacher-student piano duets at the recital and/or provide a recording for the student to practice alongside
4. Communicate to the student’s parents of their progress and provide best at-home practice sessions without intern present

Training:

1. Meet and supervise the intern once a week for a minimum of 1 hour 
2. Provide concise, helpful, and constructive feedback. 
3. Develop a piano teacher’s mindset and train to teach interns that include but not limited to rote instruction, improvisation, and composition.
4. Provide a supportive and positive learning environment. 
5. Provide resources, equipment, and performance facilities. 

Learning Outcomes:

1. Teach new and/or transfer child and/or adult piano students. 
2. Communicate coherently, and in innovative ways until the piano student comprehends and can perform without the presence of the intern. 
3. Organize lesson plans and work alongside with the supervisor and student to prepare for future engagements, such as but not limited to exams and recitals.
4. Inspire, motivate, and engage beginner piano students to achieve their highest music performance in accordance to their music aptitude. 
5. Provide effective practice tools to the beginning piano student. 

Lessons are conducted in students’ homes. Intern must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of automobile liability insurance.
