Opportunity Summary 

Marketing & Public Relations Specialist

Responsible for developing and executing marketing and public relations strategies that strengthen brand awareness and reputation. Duties include creating promotional content, managing social media and communications, coordinating media outreach and events, building relationships with partners and stakeholders, and monitoring marketing campaigns to measure results.

Tasks:

Develop and execute marketing and PR campaigns to increase brand awareness.
Create press releases, newsletters, promotional materials, and other communications.
Manage and maintain social media platforms and online presence.
Coordinate media outreach and maintain relationships with journalists and community partners.
Plan and promote events, campaigns, and promotional activities.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
Monitor public feedback, media coverage, and online engagement.
Track marketing campaign performance and prepare reports on results.
Assist with community outreach and partnership development.
Maintain brand standards across marketing and communication materials.
Research industry trends, competitors, and target audiences.
Support crisis communication and reputation-management efforts when needed.

Training:

Student will meet and work Tribal Chairman and Secretary on communications about tribal press releases and social media outreach and provide feedback.

Learning Outcome:

The intern will learn to develop and execute marketing and public relations strategies that strengthen brand awareness and reputation.

Intern will learn how to create promotional content, manage social media and communications, coordinate media outreach and events, build relationships with partners and stakeholders, and monitoring marketing campaigns to measure results.
