Opportunity Summary 

The intern will help us with employee training, communication, performance, and organization. They will work with management to look at how employees are trained, how information is communicated, and where we can make improvements. They will also help with updating training materials, workplace procedures, and ways we provide employees with feedback.

- Help review and improve employee onboarding and training.
- Assist with creating and updating training materials and employee guidelines.
- Help organize employee roles, responsibilities, and workplace procedures.
- Look at workplace issues that may affect employee performance or productivity.
- Assist with updating company policies and procedures.
- Meet with the supervisor regularly to discuss progress, feedback, and what was learned.

Training:

The intern will first be trained on employee roles, workplace procedures, and expectations. I will work directly with the intern and explain each new responsibility before they begin working on it independently. We will meet frequently to go over their progress, answer questions, and discuss how its going. I will also provide feedback throughout the week as they complete different tasks and projects.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the internship, the student will be able to better understand how Industrial and Organizational Psychology is used in the workplace. They will gain experience with employee training, workplace communication, performance, and organization. They will also learn how to identify workplace issues, suggest improvements, and communicate professionally with employees and management.
