Assist the physical therapist with preparing treatment table, cleaning tables, setting up exercise equipment, and putting away exercise equipment

Tasks:

Setting up exercise equipment, multitasking with patients, scheduling appointment, & assisting the physical therapist with work related tasks

Training:

Orientation to the facility, weekly meetings on how they are performing, job shadowing, and skill training with the physical therapy aide lead to learn the exercises

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to observe different diagnosis, learn new exercises to assist with treatment, & learn to multitask with multiple patients at a time
