Physical Therapy Intern/VolunteerAt — 360 Wellness Physical Therapy

Unpaid: Academic Credit Required

To perform selected tasks under the supervision of a physical therapist.

Duties: 

Instruct, motivate, or assist patients practicing functional activities or exercises. 

Clean and organize work area after treatment. 

Perform clerical duties: computer entries, filing, restocking, etc. 

Training:

Students will be taught one on one by supervisor on all tasks that pertains to the student's learning outcomes. They will always be supervised and mentored throughout the internship.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to gain more of an understanding of the requirements to pursue a career in PT and the daily responsibilities of a PT, as well as a better understanding in how to communicate with patients.
