Teacher Assistant Intern

The intern will demonstrate their learning outcomes by
1. Conducting and documenting observations of individual children
2. Assisting the lead teacher with completing the DRDP assessments and developmental ratings
3. Creating and implementing weekly lesson plans and activities that address children’s identified needs and interests

To help the intern achieve the proposed learning outcomes, I will provide guidance and training on conducting and documenting child observations using the DRDP assessments and ratings. I will meet with the intern for at least 30 minutes each week to discuss progress, answer questions, and provide feedback.

By the end of the internship, the student will be able to
1. Conduct and document objective observations to identify developmental strengths, needs,
and progress
2. Use observation and assessment information to create developmentally appropriate lesson
plans and activities
3. Implement planned activities and evaluate how effectively they support children
development and learning.
