Hybrid Opportunity: Long Beach Environmental Alliance and Long Beach 350At — Long Beach Environmental Alliance
Students can learn no matter what their major, where they live or who they are they can and is affected by Pollution and Climate Change and more...They also can learn that they have a voice and a part to play in what happens to themselves and everyone. Pollution and Climate Change has an impact on Affordable Housing, Homelessness, Transportation, Health, the Food we eat and much more...The affects are from a local level to a global level. Students can learn what Climate Gentrification, Climate Migration-Refugees, Environmental Racism the Long Beach Climate Action & Adaptation Plan (CAAP) is and how they can impact Baby-Boomers, Millennials, Generation X and Z. This is just some of the things students can learn...
Not to just think inside the box but think outside the box. That no matter what their major is at CSULB, we have an affect on each other and its now a global affect no matter where you live or who you are. Students will have a different look on things at the end of the semester than what they had at the start of Fall 2021. Students will see the world different. " How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to
improve the world..."
It will depend on each student background and what they know already. If the student knows nothing about the area they are to be work in we will teach them all they need to know and check on them as needed. They will be able to ask for any help they may need and we will stay in contact with their professor to keep everyone in the loop.
Everything is safe and if anything comes up that safety is a question LBEA will talk with the leadership of CCE and CSULB before students to be involve in anything and get the Ok first.
