MPH InternshipAt — Escondido Union School District
The EUSD MPH Intern will have the opportunity to understand the role of public education in community health promotion efforts and to participate in outreach and educational activities with a primarily underserved population. Assignments include attending education policy and planning meetings, developing health-related educational materials focused for youth and families, and creating promotion and outreach materials for public health programs and events.
The MPH intern will meet the following objectives/outcomes: a) research and attend meetings related to public education's role in community health education and promotion efforts, b) develop educational materials on a variety of health-related topics for youth and families, c) and design materials to inform the community of health promotion and prevention activities taking place within the school district.
The MPH Intern will receive direct one on one training with the internship supervisor to review all aspects of assigned tasks including the use of special applications/programs to create outreach and instructional materials.
