Organization Description

The mission of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch is to eliminate childhood lead poisoning by identifying and caring for lead burdened children and preventing environmental exposures to lead.

Program Information

The intern will process applications for Lead-Related Construction (LRC) certification and evaluate candidate qualifications against regulatory requirements, including LRC program training requirements, and interpret experience statements relative to generally accepted lead-related construction inquiry standards. This intern will also respond to yearly telephone calls, written and e-mail inquiries from the public concerning the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) lead-related construction accreditation, certification, registration and/or lead hazard abatement programs. The intern will also be responsible for translation of lead related outreach material in a language that is appropriate for the target audience.
