Organization Description

The mission of the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles is to enhance the quality of life of individuals with Down syndrome by fostering family engagement, encouraging connections, and providing information while promoting inclusion, acceptance, and awareness of individuals with Down syndrome.

Program Information

Opportunities: Participate in programs designed for children and teens with Down Syndrome like hip hop, basketball, baby yoga, parent/child development programs, support groups and hospital outreach.

Other Opportunities:

  • Making family/medical packets
  • Filing
  • Helping with the basketball program
  • Helping with the hip hop dance
  • Volunteer opportunities with the acting class as well
  • Help with special events: fundraising events, family events, etc
