NAMI San Fernando Valley - National Alliance on Mental Illness

Organization Description

NAMI-SFV's mission is to provide FREE education, support and advocacy to anyone impacted by mental illness in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. 

Volunteer activities include:

  • Help Line: requires a one year volunteer commitment
  • NAMI in the Lobby: sitting in the lobby of the Olive View Peer Resource Center in Sylmar and introducing NAMI to those in the Lobby
  • Tabling NAMI booth at Fairs and events
  • Social Media Assistant
  • Membership Coordinator
Program Information

Service Learning volunteers are needed at Olive View Medical Center from 6pm to 8pm weekdays.  Volunteers will staff a table in the lobby during visiting hours. During this time you will engage visitors, provide support and introduce visitors to NAMI programs and services.
