Organization Description

Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help young people overcome barriers through exceptional, free, integrated programs and personalized guidance in a trusted, nurturing environment. HOLA was founded in 1989 and today, we serve more than 3,000 youth, ages 6-24, each year, with accessible, high-quality services. Education is at the core of HOLA’s mission; our breadth of afterschool programming includes academic, enrichment, and wellness support that is intended to guide young people as they explore their interests and develop plans for their futures.

Hours of operation 

Normal Hours of Operation HOLA is open from 10 AM to 7 PM. Programming hours start at 2:45 PM and run until 7 PM depending on the program.

Evening and/or weekend hours? evening hours after 5pm are available; weekend hours are available.

Hours available for student selection: Weekend hours are available with one time volunteer opportunities that occur 1 - 2 x a month. Evening hours are possible when volunteering with family services or HOLA's Eisner Intergenerational Music program, these hours are from 7 - 9 PM.
