Program Information

Shelter is seeking 1-2 CHHS interns to assist in collaboration with the shelter program and staff as case managers. Support residents with direct services and support.

  • Provide peer counseling, advocacy, information and referrals 
  • Assist and support clients when moving into and out of the shelter
  • Co- facilitate house meeting/ support group weekly
  • Support house duties on day to day basis 
  • Attend weekly case management meetings (agency wide) and shelter house case discussions
  • Complete shelter placement assesments on the crisis and support line or in person

Shelter- provide in person, case management, support and provide resources to clients, co-host house meeting/ childcare (windows between worlds activity with kids)

This placement is suited for student/s in the Social Work Concentration.
