Organization Description

Community Solutions was founded as a teen drop-in center in 1972. Since that time, we have grown in both depth and breadth of services as a response to the growing and changing needs of our community.

Today we provide a comprehensive spectrum of prevention, intervention, treatment, and residential services to the communities of South Santa Clara County, South San Jose and San Benito County. Our programs provide the services and support to help children, families and individuals overcome the challenges posed by mental health issues, substance abuse, trauma, severe family dysfunction, sexual and domestic violence, and human trafficking.

We believe every person deserves the opportunity to not just survive in the world, but to be the best version of him/herself. Our programs help create the opportunities for people to heal and to move forward more fully engaged in their lives, their families and their community.

We are governed by a voluntary Board of Directors who live in and represent these communities. We receive support from a diverse funding base including local, county, state and federal government; private foundations; and indvidual contributions.

Our mission is to create opportunities for positive change by promoting and supporting the full potential of individuals, the strengths of families, and the well being of our community.

We advance our mission by building emotionally healthy children, families and individuals and by increasing their interdependence, self-reliance, and safety. We provide:

     • Wellness and recovery-based behavioral health services

     • Empowerment-based domestic violence and

         sexual assault services, and

     • Strength-based prevention and intervention services

Program Information

The two positions would be working within our training department to set up internal and external trainings focused on improving community mental health treatment.

Specific duties: training tracking and monitoring, revenue tracking and projection, marketing (fliers, emails, calling people - we are not soliciting, this is coordinating with established partners), working to develop training plans for new employees, tracking completion of trainings, working to optimize the training tracking in general and training plans as a whole.

The two positions would be working on a small, close-nit team (4 members currently), that serves at medium size community mental health agency (350 people), and also offers mental health related trainings county and state-wide, as well as in schools.
