Program Information

Middle School. AVID program (Advancement via Individual Determination) is an elective class for students in the academic middle to learn the skills necessary to be successful in school and reach their goal of attending a four-year university.

Service Opportunity:

Tutoring in the AVID classroom

GEAR UP Program: Opportunity to provide services to low-income and minority students and prepare them for higher education.  

Health & Safety

All students will be required to have a TB test and Fingerprinting, and show COVID-19 vaccination card, prior to starting their service hours.

Background Check is paid for for students serving at the GEAR-Up and AVID program.
