From our district's beginning with 9 students in a house, we have grown to almost 9000 students and 800 staff members at 14 elementary schools.     

MISSION

The Mission of the Salinas City Elementary School District is to provide a well-rounded education with multiple opportunities for all students’ success.  

VISION

We expect all children to be at or above grade level.

Program Information

Our goal at Loma Vista School is to prepare students for success in Middle School and beyond.  We focus on being a Superstar: Showing respect, Taking responsibility, Arriving on time and Remembering to be safe.  We hope to start our students down the path toward being positive community members and role models for others around them.

Service Learning Opportunities Include: Classroom support for teachers 1-on-1 tutoring; small group instruction - in class or groups; After School tutoring.

Health & Safety

All service learning students will be required to have a TB test and Fingerprinting prior to starting their service hours.
