Program Information

There are a multitude of opportunities for service learning at the high school, depending on the interests of the student. For example, at present we have several ESL students taking a computer class- in order for them to be successful and have access to the educational technology, we must provide these students with support. Other areas for potential service learning projects are in counseling, support programs such as migrant education, and in the instructional/classroom setting.  Library study tables, algebra support, class cross age tutoring. For our AVID classroom, tutors will work in small groups during tutorials. AVID teachers will be their mentors. For the after school tutorial, we will be having library study tables, the Service Learning Students will be working with a small group of students in various academic areas. Service Learning Students will be working in academic areas where they feel they the strongest.

Health & Safety

All students will be required to have a TB test and Fingerprinting, and show COVID-19 vaccination card, prior to starting their service hours.
