Program Information

Outreach Program (Santa Cruz County)

  • Assist with crafting curated social media posts
  • Agency website blog writing
  • Assist with planning and execution of the four violence awareness months:
    • Domestic Violence Awareness Month – October
    • Sexual Assault Awareness Month – April
    • Teen Sating Violence Awareness Month – February
    • Human Trafficking Awareness Month – January
  • Tabling at community events
  • Posting flyers for events and agency related topics
  • Drafting press releases
  • Videography and photography assistance at agency events
  • Assiist with ongoing research and powerpoint creation
  • Co-facilitating presentations in schools and the community
  • Survey creation

 

Fund Development Program

  • Assist with fund development strategic planning
  • Assist with event planning
  • Assist with giving campaigns
  • Assist with grant writing

 

Housing Program 

In collaboration with the Housing Program staff and manager 

  • Work directly with survivors of DV, SA, and HT.  
  • Assist with client case management 
  • This includes but it is not limited to: 
    • Co-creating/Co-developing personalized case plans for survivors and their specific needs with a focus on Housing and financial stability. 
    • Work 1:1 with survivors and at times with their children 
    • Connecting with community partners, build partnerships and collaborations on behalf of survivors 
    • Provide advocacy 
    • Data collection, note taking and writing 
    • Attend weekly case management meetings (agency wide) 
Health & Safety

Peer Counseling Advocate training is required to work directly with clients.
