Organization Description

The American Heart Association is a non-profit organization who strives to build healthier lives free from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Through fundraising efforts and community outreach, our goal is to improve the health of all Americans while reducing the amounts of death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Our Mission: The American Heart Association’s mission is to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. What We Do: We encourage women and men to learn and understand the importance of heart health. Heart disease is the leading cause of death, and most people aren’t aware of how to prevent it. Our goal is to empower people to take charge of their health so they may live life to the fullest. Throughout the year, we plan several fundraising events in order to raise money towards life-saving research, to implement heart healthy programs in schools, and teach all ages hands on CPR and AED training.
