Organization Description

MICOP is the largest Indigenous-led and -serving organization on California’s Central Coast. We operate a constellation of community empowerment and social service programs with the goal of supporting, organizing, and empowering indigenous migrant communities from Southern Mexico. We envision a strong indigenous migrant community actively engaged to achieve just working and living conditions, equality, and full human rights.

Health & Safety

SUPERVISION

  • Students will check-in via email, phone, or in person
  • Students may have to work after 6pm (with supervison)

LEARNING SITE LOCATION

  • Parking areas are avialble in the back lot and on the street

Depending on the nature of the service project, a background check and/or TB test may be required.

Additional requirements and/or considerations
  • Computer Literacy
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Pre-Placement Training
  • SAFETY: Students are NOT PERMITTED to take photos or video while on site.
  • SUPERVISION: Students may be required to work at night (after 6pm).
