Organization Description

Our mission is to restore wholeness to children and families in underserved populations; to break cycles of family violence, and prevent dysfunctional behavior patterns in children. We provide safe and nurturing environments for children. Our goal is to reduce risk factors that lead to mental illness, and to prevent conditions that lead to child abuse and neglect.

Program Information

Our program services primarily the 0-15 age group and 15-25 age groups. Our clients are children of parents who have been charged with child abuse and maltreatment. These children are victims of domestic violence and at-risk for behavioral problems and/or mental disorder as a result of life stressor. We also service the parents of at-risk children by providing psycho0-educational information and outreach services. We offer sessions in parenting education, domestic violence, and anger management, for prevention and early intervention of emotional problems associated with life stressors in underserved populations. We offer individual and group therapy, family counseling, substance abuse counseling, sexual abuse counseling, housing assistance, employment referrals, and necessary psychological interventions to combat post-traumatic stress disorders.
