Organization Description

The Pasadena's Playhouse's mission is to be the premiere theatrical experience in Southern California; showcasing the most exciting theatrical entertainment in the state and engaging new audiences through outreach programs and new works. With the launch of the Theatrical Diversity Project in 2005, The Playhouse enters its second century with the vision to lead in the area of inclusion and equit in contemporary American theatre, firmly believing that theatre has the power to build successful communities. To this end, The Playhouse's core values include: artistic excellence, diversity, originality, agility, and innovation. These are reflected throughout Playhouse activities including six-show mainstage season as well as community engagement and education programs, and new play development programs.
