Unfortunately we do have gang violence that continues to plague the surrounding areas which have resulted in a few shootings on-site and a number of deaths off-site within blocks from Pierce Park Apartments. All these experiences, have certainly caused a sense of fear and despair for some of the residence, and for others. It’s definitely a major issue in the city of Pacoima / San Fernando Valley and law enforcement continue to do their best to resolve these serious matters on a daily basis. But, within the walls of our ATAP Family Learning Center, (Which is on-site at Pierce Park Apartments) we have had no incidents or gang violence to say the least). We are also very fortunate to have a security officer on premise that comes into our ATAP Learning Center regularly and also checks the entire perimeter making sure it's always safe.
