Program Description:APA's mission is to promote healthy family and to prevent child abuse and domestic violence. We attempt to accomplish mission by providing parenting classes, employment workshop, parent-child interaction classes, school based counseling, individual, family and couple counseling, DV support group, children's therapeutic group, and case maangement.   

Clientele Served: Any family in san francisco can receive services, but main clientele tends to be Asian and Pacific Islanders who has low income.

Issues Program Addresses:ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Immigration issues, Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Poverty, Lack of resources, Basic needs, Parent Child relationship, Parenting, Truancy, Schizophrenia, Hoarding, Neglect. 

Intern Assignments:Intern will provide variety of clinical services depending on their needs. It is a individualized program and do not have particular requirement.

Intern Training & Educational Opportunities: Individual supervision, Didactic Group Suporvision, In-Service Training. Topic include Co-parenitng, Teenage communication, Play therapy, effective documentation.
