Program Description:

 

Larkin Street serves homeless youth ages 12-24, through a continuum of services including outreach, drop in centers, housing, employment and education and medical care.

Clientele Served:

Homeless youth, ages 12-24

Issues Program Addresses:

Housing, employment, education, mental health, substance abuse, health

Intern Assignments:

Internship opportunities at three sites:

1st year:

Hire Up is  our employment and education program.

2nd year:

The Lark Inn is our emergency shelter for transitional age youth 18-24-this internship requires evening hours.

Assisted Care is our residential care facility for HIV+ youth.

Intern Training & Educational Opportunities:

Monthly trainings on topics relevant to the population are open to all staff, including interns.  Interns also participate in weekly clinical and case management client reviews.

Internships run from September-June. Interns must submit a resume and cover letter to Toby Eastman and will participate in one interview.
