Stanford Hospital and Clinics Social Work Internship Program is designed to prepare you for a career in medical social work. The skills you learn in your placement with us are transferable to all walks of social work. You will learn to conduct indepth psychosocial evaluations, create treatment plans, and work with multidisciplinary teams. The hospital is renowned for cutting-edge medical discoveries and innovations and is consistently ranked among the top in the nation. It is internationally recognized for the advanced care of patients.

At Stanford we have a diverse patient population and we help families cope with life-changing medical diagnoses through counseling, patient and family meetings, and support groups. We help them navigate through difficult systems and provide appropriate referrals.
