The Window Foundation

Organization Description

The mission of the foundation is to identify implement effective ways of helping marginalized people throughout the world to become self-reliant allowing them and those around them to lead healthy and productive lives. The foundation will support the efforts of those individuals and groups that engage in public benefit activities for the health and welfare of their communities by creating windows of opportunity and by promoting the cycle of giving. The foundation designs projects to accomplish these objectives.

Program Information

The Window company partnerd with CSUN to work with on a service project with CSUN's Institute for Sustainability.

Health & Safety

Risk Management: Please be aware of the risks that have been identified at organization's site.

  • Will the students be supervised less than 50% of the time or will the supervisor be responsible for overseeing more than 8 people? Yes. Approximately 20-30 students will be working in independent teams with guidance and instruction from supervisors.
  • Does the placement require working with any hazardous materials, heavy equipment, or heavy machinery? Yes. Some chemicals are required for testing & may be hazaardous.
